Human Intelligence in the Age of AI

AI and Creativity: Who Owns the Idea?

AI can generate options. Human creativity still involves intention, taste, experience, selection and revision.

The useful distinction

Generation is only one step in a creative process. Deciding what deserves to exist, for whom and why is also creative work.

A practical example

When I use AI to help structure an essay or a webpage, I still choose the subject, reject weak ideas, edit the tone, test links and take responsibility for the final publication.

The open question

Attribution, ownership and training-data ethics remain live legal and social debates. Tool-assisted work should not be mistaken for wholly unassisted production.

Editorial note: This is an independently authored perspective and educational overview, not a claim of original empirical findings. AI tools may assist drafting and editing; factual responsibility remains with the author.
